Redacción – Esta selfie le ha dado vueltas a las redes sociales y se volvió viral. Dos gorilas posaron para tomarse la fotografía con unos hombres y eso hizo que llamara la atención de miles en las redes sociales.

La historia real detrás de esta foto es que ellos son los protectores de las gorilas hembras. Cuidan que ningún cazador los mate ni que su hábitat sea violentado.

La imagen muestra a los cuidadores, quienes son miembros de la unidad anticazadores del Parque Nacional Virunga en la República Democrática del Congo.

Desde el parque, en una publicación en Instagram, aclaran que la imagen es real y que estas son dos gorilas huérfanas. También destacan que es muy común que los primates estén erguidos en sus dos patas traseras.

“Puede que hayas visto a los cuidadores Mathieu y Patrick en su sorprendente selfie con las gorilas huérfanas Ndakazi y Ndeze en el centro Senkwekwe en el Parque Nacional Virunga. Hemos recibido decenas de mensajes sobre la foto. ¡Sí, es real! (…) La mayoría de los primates pueden caminar erguidos durante cortos periodos de tiempo. (…) Estas gorilas siempre están actuando de forma atrevida así que esta foto es una toma perfecta de sus verdaderas personalidades”, escribieron.

Lo que quiere decir que no les costó mucho tomar la fotografía, pues se ve que fue tomada con mucha naturalidad. Además, estos animales están muy familiarizados por estas personas.

En el marco del Día Mundial de la Tierra, el parque aprovechó para publicar nuevamente esta épica fotografía y demostrar que la naturaleza y los animales pueden sorprender, cada vez más, al ser humano.
